リンクの価値が薄れていくよ!という先日のマット氏動画。
世間での取り上げられ方見てて、ちょっと気になった点があったのでつらつらと。
１・バックリンクの今後の価値について。
リンクが今すぐに死ぬわけでもないし、今後完全に消える可能性も薄いかと。
マットさん自身「未公開のリンク抜きバージョンアルゴリズムもあるけど、ダメダメ」って言ってますし。
動画中でリンクに言及してる箇所は以下の通り。

Well, I think backlinks still have many, many years left in them.
僕は、バックリンクにはまだまだ長い寿命が残されていると思う。
(その後ユーザーはリンクよりもコンテンツを重視することに触れて)
So I think over time, backlinks will become a little less important.
だから、リンクは今後徐々に重要性を失っていくだろう。
And so I think as we get better at understanding who wrote something, and what the real meaning of that content is, inevitably over time, there will be a little less emphasis on links.
僕は、Googleが「誰が何を書いたか」「コンテンツの本当の意義」を把握できるようになるにつれ、
リンクの重要性は徐々に減少するだろうと思う。
But I would expect that for the next few years, we will continue to use links in order to assess the basic reputation of pages and of sites.
だが今後数年は、Googleはウェブページ・ウェブサイトの基礎的な評判を評価するために、
リンクを利用し続けるだろう。

リンクは評価基準の一つとして今後も使い続けるだろうけど、
他の要素に対するGoogleの理解が進めば相対的な重要さは低くなっていくよね、というお話。
あくまでも「今までどおりのリンク偏重では徐々につらくなるよ！」と思っておくのがよいかと。
２・対話型検索の説明について
ちょっと気になった点があります。

And in order to understand what someone is saying, like how tall is Justin Bieber, and then when was he born, to be able to know what that's referring to.
"He" is referring to Justin Bieber.
「Justin Bieberの身長は？彼の生年月日は？」といった人間の話し言葉を理解するには、
「彼の生年月日は」の“彼＝Justin Bieber”であることを理解しないといけない。

"He" is referring to Justin Bieber. を「彼(質問者)はJustin Bieberについて語っている」
みたいに訳しているのを見かけたのですが、上記訳のほうがすんなりいく気がします。
